TB said they're not allowed to talk about it, but basically the devs are just tossing random stuff up on the cash shop and seeing what sticks. So make sure you voice your opinion for a mostly-aesthetic-based cash shop!

This might be a silly question. I just thought to ask as I couldn't see anywhere else, is there a way to preview gear before you buy or equip or did anyone try to see if it was in there?

I'm not sure on the up- and down-scaling (in level). I guess in pve you will only be downscaled, not upscaled. And for pvp you are upscaled to lvl 80.

Strangely, I haven't seen this addressed anywhere and I'm not sure if I've simply overlooked it in the videos I've seen, so I have to ask: do all skills now require a clear line of sight? Are my days of mesmerising from behind rocks and walls over? I've seen Spatial Surges go through stairs but I'm guessing the edges of objects aren't always exactly where they appear to be, as in GW. I'd assume you really need a clear line of sight between yourself and your target for this one, but what about, say, Mind Stab?

The identify mechanic is gone. Once you pick up an item, you see all its stats.
TBH, I have not paid too much attention to that when playing the Ele, but any projectile pretty much needed a clear line of sight and unobstructed paths. I'll keep that question in the back of my head and check it out, when I have the chance to play again.

He's not talking about identifying, he's talking about previewing an item before equipping it. As in, to see what it looks like on your character.
Say I link [Unique Awesome Chestpiece of Asskicking], you should be able to control click on it and see what your character would look like if it had that armor on.

I must admit, I have not looked into that... I just equipped whatever dropped for me and was better than I was using at that moment
I did try out the town clothes though! And at one point even fought in them because I was just messing about in the wild
