I didn't check, but I assume it either leaves that alone much like optional and elite skills (you don't lose those either) or it takes that into calculation when it levels you down (i.e. levels you down a bit more to compensate).
Those were not in the beta, sorry. I did test them just for you.
Honestly, it took me quite a few tries before I managed. I was never really good with reflex-based interrupting of anything below 2s.

Sorry for being late to the game. I only now have time to check the intertubes :-) As for questions...
I played a human mesmer. I briefly tried a human ranger. (I lost some time trying to get a system that would run GW2.)
I double tapped in one direction to dodge in the direction I wanted. Well, I think this entire weekend for me was trying to get used to or reacquainted with movement in MMORPGs. Dodging was just one part of this. Other parts include that you don't automatically hit someone you target. Especially with the sword mesmer, I had to get used to running up to an opponent without losing orientation and swinging at the right distance (Mesmers in GW1 did no such thing :-)).
As others said, it can be a problem in crowded areas but this issue is also known to Anet, and I believe they are working on a solution.
You mean right now? ('cause things are likely to change before release). I have only tried events with up to 10 people in it. These were mostly events in the starter areas and were accordingly easy. 4-6 attacks on a foe and they were dead. I don't know about your comfort level, but I like challenge (my best friend usually shakes the head at me when I am getting those urges in GW1 to try for a legendary survivor living off the land, and just always pushing it). So what I did was venture beyond the starter valley on a level 2-3 character. Taking on foes that are level 8-10 is an entirely different thing because 3-4 hits will knock you cold...and I enjoyed it tremendously despite admittedly not quite having the skill to quite finish off one foe. That's the nice thing about the system in GW2. You can if you want go into the open world and just find events there. If you seek a challenge, go to areas where foes are at a higher level. In games like Warhammer this was somehow never really rewarding because each area was designed for a particular level, and the quests guide you. That is to say if you were to go to an area with enemies higher than yourself, apart from just killing them there would not be much of a point because the quests for this level do not chain the right way...perhaps you have to finish off quests in previous areas before coming here....but I digress :-)
No.
I saw two maps. The Battle of Khylo (Clock Tower), and one in the forest...forgot the name. In my limited PvP trials, that's all I saw. After getting badly beaten, I thought to myself, let me get some practice beating up on some people of my level (level 1) :-) But you know the saying in Go right? The best way to improve is to loose the first 100 battles as quickly as possible. So if I have a chance in the future, I will go back to the ring! It looks easier than it is, is what I learned :-)
So much to do, so little time. That was one of the many things I did not get to.
I LOVE the subtle differences between night and day. Each period of time, I am told is about 3 hours at this time. The duration of each time of the day may change in the future. There is so much ambient sounds that is soooo well done. Specifics, specifics....In terms of ambient sounds, during the day you hear birds twittering, different sorts of insects (maybe bees humming). When you are near a creek, you hear the water movements of that creek, you may hear some wind. At night, imagine a calm evening, all the sounds are more subdued, you may here crickets chirping in the evening. The music, too, is dependent on the time of the day. Music tends to be more spirited during the day with brighter brass tones and faster pace. The music at night, on the other hand, is more subdued, slower, perhaps more peaceful. All this really helps to suck you into the game world. This is perhaps the aspect of the game I enjoyed the most this time around!

They probably figured that I would end up writing a lot about it. By the way, I essentially have another 4 articles coming up. So I guess they were right.

I have no idea how much of a factor farming will have in GW2; I agree though, that playing the game regularly will more than not get more wealth in the long run--how the game is set up. Maybe farming for certain monster parts to salvage for supplies for crafting would be one of my guesses.
Here I was just fooling around really--though it does show how cool Death Shroud is--also wanted to show Life Transfer! There are a bunch of combinations one can do to with different weapons for farming. This was really easy btw too, low level area--attacking the passive wildlife, I'm cheap like that. I had fun with it :)
In retrospect, I should have cast locust swarm before enfeeble to start the aoe+life gain sooner. Was using scepter+warhorn in this one.

They do a better job than I could:
(CMEPTb beat me to it lol... and yeah, that's all racial skills that were in the beta, though I have to wonder if the release will be as unbalanced with regards to type and number of racial skills).
As for which profession looks better as Charr, hard to tell. I think it really depends on personal taste. Charr with engineer backpack looks a bit silly in my opinion, but I have difficulty thinking of a race that wouldn't. I think Charr using a bow looks silly personally. Charr necro (my pick) looks pretty fierce with all the undead around.
Keep in mind that we had almost no choice over armor art, so once you get some armors to pick from, any profession could look cool in my opinion.
