What race/profession are you planning on making for GW2?

Yeah I agree, Dulin. HOM is supposed to be all about passing down the legacy to your GW2 character from GW1 character.

Well, you could have your character loot the crypt of the GW1 character ;)

Ranger. That's the one thing that really right for them.

Charr Necro. I was really happy with how my charr looked surrounded by undead minions. That really works well for me lore-wise and aesthetics-wise. Assuming I can get cool armor art as well, but that does not worry me since they decided to merge armor arts across professions sharing an armor class.

There are some professions in GW1 where it was hard to get a nice armor, but there were plenty of nice armors to pick from for each armor class, especially if you include costumes. I hope they have costumes in GW2 (and I am not referring to town clothes, although that too is awesome).

I'm working on a story to tie in a charr with Rhonwyn's HoM... Asuran I have more trouble with...

I'm wondering what the lore is for that HoM link in GW2. It would be a shame to invent an elaborate story for each character and then have ANet HoM lore contradict it.

My chars with loot the crypt (which is only possible for those deemed worthy), or have the rights of entry passed from one adventurer to the next much like inheritance works (which is usually blood-related but does not need to be).

Asura and Charr will likely loot, while Human, Norn, and Sylvari will probably inherit.

I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do, but my first character will be a human elementalist, carrying over from my current main. From there, it's sort of a crap shoot. I'm thinking asura engineer; chart ranger; sylvari necro, mesmer, or thief; and a norn warrior or guardian.

Already making a human ranger as a direct descendent of my main, so that's out. I'm really starting to like the idea of a Charr Engineer, though. Just picturing this crazy, sour-tempered, giant cat monster running around with a flamethrower makes me smile.

I'm really torn about making a ranger - I'm raring for something new but I really enjoyed playing GW ranger. I guess beta weekends will help out (hurry up!).

Im thinking of rolling a charr Engineer as well :)

Right, a female human. Really, who wants to stare at some big furry butt while playing?

@Dom: If staring at butts is your motivation, then norn would be a better idea obviously. Less clothing, and taller models give you more screen coverage.
