My new necromancer is on Venta Refuge in Nightfall - she'll always be glad to fight by Q's side.
If you don't have a master account, I think you need to create one and link it to your guild wars account before you can play.

So, I am back in game now, but it appears I was hacked during my three year absence. Someone took all my gold (I had over 50p), all my crafting materials (literally all, I have 0 of everything now), all my dyes, and it looks like they salvaged all my armor sets too. My main character, Quintus, is now missing his pants, and my paragon is missing her top and shoes. I'm guessing they salvaged them because they were Vabbian. Oddly enough, I have 51 ectos in my storage box now. I think someone must have been 55ing with my Mesmer. They also must have been camp farming holiday items, because my inventory was full of various holiday alcohols and treats.
In addition, a new level 2 assassin character named "Crg Crg" was on my account that I had never created.
Luckily, they missed my mule, who, so far as I can tell, is still in possession of all of the armor, weapons, and minipets I entrusted to him.
I filed a ticket with support, and hopefully they will restore my items (and my pants), but if the hack happened before 10/11/11, I'm out of luck. I don't know what I'll do now then. I don't have any money or crafting materials to make new armor![]()

Yea that sucks. Look at it from the bright side though, they didn't delete your chars, and 50+ ectos will get you pretty much everything you need to get back on your feet. Enough to get basic armor+ mods on all your chars at the very least.

This happened to me, too. They deleted my survivor (saaaad), but all my other characters were safe. Lost some armor, too.
Just sell those ectos and holiday stuff, then buy new duds.
That's a real bad blow there QA!
I'd love to know how they got your account details- you've never came across as the account sharing kind or someone without proper password wisdom.
The 50E will help you get back into running order though - so I suppose there's that.

Welcome back Quintus, sorry to hear about your account. I got some craft materials and money to get back on your feet.
Thanks for the offers of support. Let's see if they are able to restore my account before I take advantage of your generosity. Thanks!
As for how they got in, you are very correct Art, there is no way they got past my password. In fact, the large amount of hacking that has occurred on Guild Wars accounts leads me to believe that there was likely an exploit in the system that allowed someone with knowledge of it to bypass the password entirely. ANet or NCSoft likely patched it silently and never said anything more about it. That is the only explanation I have for how so many accounts were hacked so fast in the course of only a few months about a year ago, and why they are now bending over backwards to help us restore our stuff.

When I got hacked a few years back, the general idea was that you wouldn't get your stuff back. I lost all but 1 superior vigor, all equipment packs and most of my valuable armour sets. Luckily it's really cheap to gear up even with just basic max armour to get going. Luckily I also didn't lose any characters :).
If you need anything, just shout. I've got tons of extra stuff which I don't use and which is just collecting dust atm :P
Okay, so support got back to me today, and it turns out my account was hacked in June 2009. So I'm S.O.L. If someone would be willing to give me enough gold and crafting materials to at least make some basic max level pants, I'd appreciate it. I'd of course repay you as well once I got on my feet again if you would like.
I'd like to get my entire Vabbian set back for my mesmer and paragon, but I realize that's not going to happen right away![]()
