never used a para and get trough it really fast, not my prof.
ritualist and elementalst is just simply the fastest way to get trough everything, they both have high damage and they both have some support.
breezing trough the game can be done by just making a faction character so lvl 20 is reached really fast, getting to nightfall is best done trough proph so better travel to proph first before going to nightfall.
just a tip from a non-farmer: focus on the whole armor set first, taking one piece at a time makes things messy and you're quickly making a mistake like buying the wrong piece. (just imagine buying the chest and gloves only to buy the chest again, it's a waste of time and only becomes more frustrating)
don't spend your gold to much on materials, you can get them from armor the enemies drop, just salvage them with an expert salvage kid and it makes making armor much easier.
Holy CRAP... 50 hours a week? That's intense!
And for what it's worth, the physical classes are the easiest to get through things with IMO. Ele is definitively the slowest, but it's a lot of people's favorite, so that might be worth something.
Good luck. You crazy!
The fastest would probably be the profession that fits your playstyle the best. It also happens to be a great way to avoid headache.
Besides starting at/hopping over to Nightfall, I recommend you play through EotN until you get to Eye of the North. You get 3 heroes soon enough (E, Mo, Me), and you also get to see your HoM.
My advice, on armors because they can be expensive:
1. Collector armors are significantly cheaper than crafter-made armors, but they cannot be upgraded with insignias (type of armor modifier).
2. When you decide to buy an armor, shop around. There are some that may look prettier, but their materials may cost more.
3. There are some "elite" armor pieces that don't count towards HoM. When you are making a large purchase, research first.
