The only stealthed ranged class?

Can this class be a pure stealth but rely on ranged attacks?

This would be really powerful in pvp, is the range short to make up for it?

The thief is the only stealthed character period. You break stealth when you attack.

And ranged weapons don't really have the tools to be "pure stealth". There's no pistol or shortbow skill that grants you stealth, whereas offhand dagger has Cloak and Dagger.

Not quite termite. Mesmers can stealth, as well. The stealth mechanic is way more important to the thief, of course.

Rangers have camouflage too, but that's not really the same as stealth, since you can't move or attack.
