Yes! THEY FINALLY DID IT! Everyone rejoice!
The US House just passed CISPA -- the alternative to SOPA!
Obama had BETTER veto this. Though the House can pass it afterwards to the Supreme Court...
WTF!

..so they suddenly rushed the awful non-amended version..

Kinda hoping it won't make it past the senate.

I guess they thought no one would notice or care if they changed the acronym.
Kind of looks like they were right.

Wait a second...
They were debating stuff and added stuff today, sounds like they did all this very hush hush and pronto, just so they could get the votes in before the public realized. I mean, this is the first time I hear anything about what the new bill might be like, after it's been voted in!
Crummy politicians.

Kind of like the NDAA, which was hushed hushed even more.

Similar to the way they rushed Obamacare through, though at least this time Obama seems to be against it. WTF do they think, nobody will notice stuff or put up a fuss if they do manage to sneak something through? Who do our representatives represent, again?

They represent themselves, clearly. There's a lot of stuff that goes through everyday that we don't know about. This is why shutting down protests is unacceptable, because protesting is really the only way we have to control the government. Voting is not really working as it should.

I agree it is similar to Obamacare, but at least that legislature was aimed to help people. This is... Not.
So, some people are saying it's worse than SOPA, others are calling it a step in the right direction. How does it differ? And, aside from less press, why are fewer people (and companies) upset about it?
