    I don't really agree with that. Assuming equal skill between players, if you have ranged/ranged and I have ranged/melee, I can keep pace with you at range, but if I close the distance between us, you're in trouble.

    But then I have more snares than you do, and shorter cooldowns on ranged weaponry because I can swap while my skills recharge. I have access to cripple, immobilize, and pushback.

    So in 1vs1, I have the advantage unless you close the gap and go melee on me.

    Also, in WvW I can swap from longbow which is more AoE to rifle which is more 1vs1, whereas you need to pick one and stick with it during combat.

    So basically exactly what I said lol

    Snares are irrelevant: Keeping me snared if I have a ranged weapon to attack you with means nothing because you aren't keeping me from damaging you. The whole point of snares is to kite an enemy (ie. keep them away from you / keep them from hurting you while you hurt them).

    Snares are relevant because they stop you from using you axe, while I unload more special skills on you than you have.
