I just looked it up.

Apparently, the Jehovah made many many predictions from 1914 to 1975. Now they stick to "soon" rather than specify a year because fellowship was declining due to failed predictions. Afterall, only the Jehovah will be spared, so some members stay only or mainly for that reason.

The part in the bible says that nobody knows the day or time, but the Jehovah are not bothered by that because they predict the year only.

I just know the world is going to end one second from now, and I will keep knowing that until I die.

Did I just paradox the end of the world away until at least two seconds after I die?

If there's a cataclysm, I'd rather rely on my swords and bow than on the bible for assuring my survival and that of close ones. I mean, if diplomacy and cooperation fails.

Yeah, I got the news of that on Facebook. Creepy stuff. Too bad they killed the zombie though, I would have liked to know what happened there... but at least the victim is alive and I hope recovering properly.

Favorite bit of hypocrisy: people from church who would go on about how weird scientologists are - because apparently, believing you're actually eating literal human flesh and blood via transubstantiation is far less weird than those kooky spectrometers.

For the record, Catholics are well aware that they aren't literally consuming real flesh and blood. Do you think they've mass-hypnotized themselves? However, whether literal or symbolic, cannibalism is bizarre.
