Pretty sure ANet/NCSoft wont go P2P on us for the actual game. That's way too Scumbag Steve for Anet.

Also, iirc, GW1 had a subs payment plan over in one of the asian territories, I forget which one. So perhaps it's covering itself for that market.

Take that with a grain of salt. Anet has already stated they don't plan on ever making the game pay to play. Besides, how would you all of a sudden take a buy to play and make it a pay to play?

Keep in mind though, it does say NCSoft, not Anet.

Could they make that much of a change? Isn't that one of those things where they are representing the game to be something, then changing it post-release or whatever? I don't know.

Anyway, they've always said GW 2 will be F2P, forever, so we shouldn't freak.

Establishing an account means you have to pay. It's the exact same thing as for GW1.
