Aha, there's one of those cool kids now!
I've never used a mechanical keyboard myself. Stumbled onto Geekhack a year or two ago and figured I'd stumbled across one of the wankier corners of the internet. For a while there I've been thinking of mechanical keyboards as the fixies of the computer hardware world. But, hey, if they're a good product, why not, yeah? May possibly even get one myself one day. They're not so niche anymore, so I won't feel like I'm crashing a scene. And I do like my keyboards small and sleek.
Sorry for the OT stuff, Q. How do you select what the keyboard displays? I'm trying to think of something useful that I might always like to have up, but not so important I want it on my monitor.
You can setup potential things to display in the Logitech software, then you have buttons on the keyboard for navigating through what's available.
As mentioned, I prefer to have the clock displayed. Nothing I'd want displayed on my monitor while playing games, but very handy to keep track of anyway
Edit:
Personally I think what makes this keyboard brilliant is not the overrated display, but the option to select in what color the keys glow. While this feature is useful for figuring out which of the three "modes" (with different key bindings) you have active, I really just love it to have the keyboard glow in pretty blue![]()

Well, there's that. My keyboard only has one colour of backlighting, but each key has its own LED, so the lovely red glow is uniform across the keyboard (there are different lighting settings though, but I like to keep it on the brightest.)
I type a lot though and I love the clicking and clacking of my mechanical keys. I used to have logitech keyboards though and they're generally of pretty good craftmanship (sans the lack of mechanical contacts.) - I had the original G15 with the flip up LED display and blue backlighting. That one was pretty good.

What combinations does it use for macros?
Veritas Invictus ~ The TRUE Guild
You can change screens inside the GW2 app using a special 4 point key on the keyboard.

What I really wanted to have this keyboard to do was to display my Winamp playlist so I could scroll around and pick whatever song I wanted. While playing full sceen games. Buuut since the noob I am I did not realise you had to get a script for this (still have not found one).
I also want my backlight in multiple colours. eg. red=W,A,S,D green= M,I,H,K, (whatever you got bags, maps, inventory and so on), yellow= programmed G-keys (the rest unlit) and skill connected numbers, all the rest purple. Perfectly useless, but pretty![]()
