Torchlight 2 - *Insert Angelic chorus...*

Don't worry carebear, the original had hardcore. I doubt they would take that feature away from Torchlight 2.

Apparently Max and Eric Schaefer were playing around with Elite Hardcore Mode all last Beta weekend. It's supposed to be very playable, but also very tough.

So far, I really like the difficulty curve of TL2. The game seems to be very good at taking you to the point where you're chugging potions like mad, bashing every skill, but not to the point where you repeatedly corpse run.

A good balance. :)

So I've been slamming through some torchlight 1 this morning with my vanquisher on hard hardcore. Mods are rather fun, although I installed some throwing weapons and enchanted the balls out of them only to find out the game doesn't actually recognize them as a ranged weapon. Sigh.

Also not much of a fan of the skill tree system, no room for experimentation.. Although I modded in stat and skill respec potions. Also the lack of an item comparison summary is painful. Just show me how much dps I'll be gaining, torchlight. Geez.


There needs to be a Diablolight 3.

That's usually what happens in sequels, yes. Although I'm sure there's some indie game somewhere that's promoting their sequel as being worse than the original..

So, I loaded tl2 expecting to check it out for a few mins, then when i was done I was going to load gw2 and play that for an hour before work.


..I didn't get around to loading gw2.
