Yeah I guess it just could have been tweaked a bit. Some fights were fun even without the constant horde, because the bosses themselves had interesting mechanics. As it is, it felt like you're dealing with the adds and trying to get a shot off on the boss when you can, rather than actually fighting the boss.
Maybe it's just a matter of building a char with more defense so I don't feel like I have to constantly run in circles to survive. We'll see. TL2 is probably next on the list of games to get a run through after I'm done dicking about with diablo again.

Glad to hear it.
The constant horde of enemies was a bonus for me, requiring me to do more than just keep the boss at a range and keep shooting. I think I was an outlander too (the thief/rogue/ranger, right?), and found having a good spread shot (like shotgun) worked well against those foes. Weapon swap is pretty cool.

Are you kidding me? That wasd one of the first things I put into my own game.
Adds make boss fights more fun, provided you can kill adds faster than they spawn.

Yeah, gear is pretty important. You can suddenly find yourself getting killed easily when your armor was ok just a few levels ago. Fortunately, there are plenty of drops in the game to keep yourself upgraded with, and other resources as well, i.e.; enchanters and socketables.
