I don't think they ever were a minority. If anything the genetic traits that define Caucasians have always been a minority...

I mean a truly amoral view on this matter is that the genetic traits behind Caucasians are finally becoming a recessive trait. Something that any geneticist will tell you was probably inevitable in the first place.

That said, I don't think the North American culture is going anywhere. If anything is stronger than ever... It's spent the last century slowly assimilating the previously dominant European cultures. However, I think in the coming century there is a good chance for the Chinese culture to begin replacing the North American culture.

Now what will be really interesting is to see if the North American culture will ever see a resurgence. One of the hallmarks of the surviving "Old World" cultures is their resilience and ability to rebound...

Caucasians make up about a third of the world's population, according to some estimates. If you're talking about white caucasians, that's another matter.

I assume you're talking about whites and not caucasians as a whole. Yes, the percentage of blue and green eyes in the population will likely continue to decline. However, skin color is based on blending and therefore we are likely to see a decline in both pale white and dark black skin colors.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Chinese culture." While China has no trouble exporting its goods, its culture, apart from cuisine, has not been spreading much.

I don't think recessive means what you think it means.

Sorry, should have been more specific. I was referring to White Caucasians.

It's true that non-White Caucasians are doing just fine.

As for Chinese Culture, have you heard any non-Chinese person quote Zen philosophies? How about Confucius (even as a joke)? How about Art of War?

Ever play Dynasty Warriors (also known as Romance of the Three Kingdoms)? That's just the stuff that I named off the top of my head...

You forgot the fortune cookie. Those are isolated instances that little impact on the overall culture. Ever heard people talk about gurus, swamis, chakras, and curry? How about Gandhi? How about Vedas? Yet we're not talking about the rise of Indian culture.

Significant cultural impact occurs through the import of language, media, customs, and clothing, to name a few. The spread of U.S. culture is through those venues and that's why it's considered significant.

Haha.. actually it's funny you should mention import of language.

Just recently a friend was pointing out that more and more Mandarin immersion schools are opening up in Canada. There was actually some job postings a while ago. Bodes well for me girl that's for sure. :)

Sure it does. I just was an idiot and didn't specify that I was referring to the European Caucasoid traits, i.e blonde, blue eyes, and the rest.

Apologies. You may punish me whenever, but please nothing on the face. I've gotta be at least presentable in my tux next week.

Nah, I don't believe in punishment as a valid way of teaching. Beside, no point punishing you if you already learned.

Good point. Perhaps they are simultaneously giving our kids lead-poisoning while teaching them to say, "Ni Hao Kai-lan."

Yea, but are the kids having FUN with the toys. There see? All worthwhile for your average helicopter parent.

Or the modern day UAV parents. You don't even know they are there... but every once in a while.. BAM!
