The Full Map of Tyria *Spoilers*

    http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/c..._together_not/

So this is very amazing to read. Some guy actually found a globe of Tyria.

I thought I would share this with everyone. I figured all you nerds would enjoy it as much as I do.

The video is very amazing to watch.

    That's neat.
    Plenty of expansion material.

    Halfway the vid now.
    Lot of inconsistencies so far.

    Hold on.

The three large images that are in color, those are Prophecies, Cantha, and Elona? And all the rest of that stuff is undiscovered / unannounced / unrevealed areas?

Yeah, there is a 30 year gap the guy talks about. But who knows, the devs may have just made mistakes, or they are planning to present it that way.

Yeah, he talks about every single area of the map, and points out the inconsistencies in certain areas.

Only got through about 2 minutes. He mentions that there are globes around the world, but they're covered up outside of the explorable areas. That would be pretty awesome, assuming he means Cantha and Elona are on it, as well. Presumably, the globe was made to keep track of the world that has been explored, so it would be silly if Cantha and Elona aren't on globes just because travel there is impossible. But it's cool because it gives the world a bit more of a real feeling, like the in-game cartographers are really trying to map out the world.

Video could have been a bit more concise, quite a bit of repetition but overall a very enjoyable insight into what he thinks about this global map.

The chap's excitable and certainly ken'd up with Tyrian lore - Let's see how it all pans out.

Yes, my virtual legs are itching now! Wouldn't it be just awesome if at the end we have an entire world to explore? Not just an island or even a continent, but being able to circumnavigate a world!

Pretty much expectable. Explored Tyrian continent is not larger than Germany, France, and a bit of Scandinavia. Because you guess it, they're only 3 countries. As for Cantha, with one city being continent sprawling the entire thing is not larger than the Japanese main Island. Elona is more or less the size of Egypt by any means. All together Tyria is about the size of Africa and the Canthan piece not even half of that. Two very small continents make for a world that is about the size of the moon. Personally I expected way more, even years ago.

So is anyone surprised by the GW2 world being small compared to the real world?
