lol Shawn you should write if you don't already. You come up with the most descriptive metaphors lolol
Shaving your head prevents the build up of dandruff too. Or you could, you know, take a shower.
Most men would take it as a minus. Most men wouldn't opt for a loss of sensitivity from their current state if it came with the 'benefits' of having to wash less.2) Even if there's loss of sensitive tissue, potentially lessening sensation a bit, most women would take it as a plus. (i.e., last longer without even trying)
You don't need to remember the event for it to have a long lasting impact. It also may not have affected you in any way but it might have affected some.3) I don't remember any of it, so the only lasting trauma is for an observer with a weak stomach, maybe.
When given the choice as adults, most uncircumcised men don't opt for circumcision. Those who do, do so for medical reasons or due to societal pressure. Yes the risk of complications goes up with age but if most men aren't opting for it as adults, it makes me wonder why we allow that decision to be made for others.
I take it you are also against piercing an infant girl's ears, as well.
To be fair (and at the risk of TMI), I have good hygiene and still have to take steps to prevent dandruff. I just tend to have dry skin. So, sometimes it's not as simple as "take a shower." That's not meant to be a blanket defense for circumcision, but some people are going to have issues even when they take care of themselves. But as far as my hygiene goes, I've never had to anything other than the basic scrub-a-dub-dub. Easy peasy, no dongle-get-cheesy.
Such a fun discussion.
...As for possible loss of sensation, all I can say is that I don't mind being an unselfish mate. When we're together, it's not about me--it's about us. If things takes longer, that's just a benefit. (though, to be honest, I don't feel like there's any special issue in my case) Heck, stores even sell creams to make the guy less sensitive & last longer, so some people apparently want (or need) that kind of thing. Most men would take it as a minus.
FWIW, I'm fine with not remembering. My dad was in his teens, IIRC. I guess I could ask him why, but that would be pretty random. When given the choice as adults, most uncircumcised men don't opt for circumcision.
"Hey, dad, haven't spoken in a while. Why'd you let someone cut your **** when you were a teenager?"
I find it kind of odd that guys who are circumsized tend to not really care about the debate, while guys who have a hoodie on are so against it.
I can understand the concern, it's irreversible. But it's also not that big of a deal, I don't think. It's not like sewing up a girl's bajingo or foot binding or anything horrible like that.

We're pretty close, but it would still be kind of weird. I'd have no problem asking if it was relevant to the discussion, but I'm not planning on having kids for another year or two, so we'll see.
I think it's because A) Yeah, we can't change it; and B) "Hey, look--it appears that there at least can be benefits. Cool."I find it kind of odd that guys who are circumsized tend to not really care about the debate, while guys who have a hoodie on are so against it.
My wife's reasoning for wanting our potential daughters' ears pierced is that it becomes a non-issue. No whining or making a big deal about it in tween years. No memorable trauma. It's just there if they want. And let's face it--most women wear earrings, even if it's only for special events.
That's why I used it as an analogy. It's technically a permanent thing that hurts the infant, but they don't remember it at all.
Plus, the fact that boys who are circumsized as infants never knew anything other than their weiner looking the way it does kind of erases the whole issue of regret / wishing it were different. It's all you've ever known, so it's a non-issue, whereas an adult might regret having it done or may not have the money for it.
God, I didn't even know weiners could look any different until I was double-digits, I think. And I didn't even figure out whether or not I was even circumsized until I started watching porn with more than one guy in it lol
