...PSO 2 needs work...the timed requirements for missions to open new areas are pretty steep, especially considering that for some strange reason, even though you can bring NPC companions to flesh out your party, the game won't allow you to bring an NPC if someone else on your server is using that particular NPC...

I can't say much about the new release, but don't remember any of these problems in the original. Of course it was a single player, non-online game then.

Well the game, should I remember correctly, is going to be released as a F2P title. Mayhaps they are hoping that people will be more than happy to pay for XP boosters in PSO 2's shop?

And that is definitely a most odd bug, if it is a bug that is.

Do hope the game will get a US/EU release though, I've been a bit of a fan of the series myself though I came in during the more... actiony-ish parts (Dreamcast version) of the series. I'll save the "sneaking onto JP servers" thing for when I'm desperately bored! Though considering Sega and their habit of refusing to release their good games outside of Japan, not too sure how likely it is...

Friday the 24th, or so I hope... I mean if this happens for the actual launch, I would certainly not attend, I'm gonna be busy playing on the 27th and 28th.

As I said, multi monitor easily and cheaply resolves that issue. In any case, I don't even know whether I can be there yet, real life has priority up to the launch. then GW2 has priority for about an hour after which real life takes over again.

Multi monitors doesn't solve that. Multi monitors only makes it so that you're also logged into Gw1. I know I wouldn't even look that direction cause I rather be paying attention to gw2. Quit it with the 2 monitor thing already.
