I will most likely play BW3, just didnt pre-purchase until now, so I will probly know then. Hopefully I can play on max.
Going off-topic here, but I am member of the PHX guild(in GW1), but I'm wondering what server the GWO guild will be in, and wether or not the alliance is going to be kept together through Guild Wars 2.

You'll be fine. My laptop can run it at medium-high settings when things are calm-ish, and it's i3, 2GB DDR2 and some kind of mobility Radeon HD.
EDIT: Apparently, there's a sticker on my keyboard telling me it's Radeon Graphics HD 6370M, 512 MB. As your number is bigger, it's probably better.
You have more VRam though, mine (could) be more powerful, but it only has 256MB of VRam, thanks for the info though, certainly helps calm my nerves :)
Does anybody else have a laptop with an AMD A10-4655M APU and 6 GB RAM?
I hope this can handle GW2 at medium settings with about 30 fps.
If you have this chip, please share what your gaming experiences have been so far. I will share with you all how well this APU can handle GW2.
I'm pretty sure my Dell Latitude D630 technically meets the requirements, but it was getting between 4 and 5 FPS, max 9, during the last stress test (measured with Fraps). It has a Core 2 Duo T2600, as I recall, as well as 4 GB of RAM and a Quadro NVS 135M video card. No real surprise that it was unplayable, but now we have data to confirm.
Not that anyone here is likely to attempt to play with such a laptop, but I thought it worth documenting for posterity. I was at work and couldn't play on my Crossfired Radeon HD 5450s. :-P
EDIT: This was with lowest settings and resolution.
I hear very good things about the new A-series APUs, particularly in gaming. I would think that if any laptop could run GW2, yours will.
Yeah, I think the 4-year warranty expires this month. Having (successfully) performed a reflow on my wife's old laptop and seeing another one develop the same problems, I think I may try to avoid gaming on it as much as possible. Unless it shows significant improvement in the future, that is. I have several cooling solutions if it seems worth it.
Besides, why take such measures to preserve it if you can't use it, right?
I would agree with sorudo that gaming on laptops is a very delicate practice. I also want to point out that it's not possible to prove that something can't be done, only that you haven't observed it yet... I mean, I haven't yet seen someone prove that you can't do something. So while laptop gaming is not the norm, you may find a way that suits your needs just fine.
My mac has been able to handle games quite well (15" macboo pro), I'm yet to be unable to atleast run a game, except for Crysis 2 (ran with low fps). Laptop gaming is not bad, as long as you get a good laptop and a mouse.
