HoM and Playing Both Games

I'm planning on picking up GW2 when it comes out.

Before I stopped playing GW, I had not focused too much on building up the HoM, so I'm going to miss out on the perks in GW2.

After I link GW2 to my account, if I keep playing GW and fill up the HoM, will the HoM in GW2 update and give me the rewards?

And of course you still have over a month to GW2 release, you can do quite a lot in a month.

In a month, hitting 30/50 from scratch is perfectly possible. It will cost you some time and some wise money use, but it's possible.
