Afaik thief stores stolen items in f2-f4.

Really? Is that new? I also did not know that you can preview armour now before you buy (as seen in the "dungeon & cultural armour video)
I wish Arena.net would have posted some more in depth update notes before each BWE.
If I can keep stolen skills for a Thief, this could be the tipping point to chose that one over the Ranger, was the pet AI & control still has not won me over, despite my love for ZooCrew extravaganzas in the past.

I didn't play with the stealing aspect much, but if I remember it's all F1. The F1 key shadow steps and steals, then use the F1 key again to actually use the stolen items.
But I may be misremembering, or you may be referring to other stealth skills that I didn't encounter at all.

Ok, I checked the wiki, and I was wrong. F1 steals, and puts the item in F1, not in F2-F4. You can use the item later, but you cannot store more than 1 item.
My bad.

It might take abit of getting used to at first, I derived this from something similar I used back in WoW days, except that I used a good deal of Alt, Ctrl, Shift and a combination of them as modifier keys over those basic 5.
Used Tab as my weapon swap in beta, C as my nearest target (GW1-style), Z as shaft/unshaft weapons. Was intending to keep X as about face for instant turnaround.

I thought everyone knew to use alt & shift key combos.
I remember back in the days, being one of the best PvP warlocks in my realm, one of my tricks was to assign my pet to specific keys and I could remove CC, DoTs from my teamies or HoT's and other beneficial effects/buffs in a strinkingly fast fashion. Back in the days, not too many people learned to player with their keyboard that heavily.
But usually, I either don't alter the UI and bindings at all or alter everything dramatically. GW2 probably won't have much alteration. Being a pianist, my hands move move swiftly, fingers accurately and without attention.
But. There's still too few skills in my opinion! Darn.

Well, I wouldn't want to see alt & shift skills on weapons in GW2. Here's a few reasons:
1) having fewer skills means you need to pick your skills carefully, e.g. GW1
2) having fewer keys to press at the same time is nice in a game where dodging is more prominent
3) having fewer skills on a weapon means the weapon has more of its unique flavor in terms of its strengths and weaknesses
So while I think we need more weapons, or we should be able to tweak skills on a weapon (within limits), I don't think having 15 skills per weapon is a good idea (or 60 for elementalist?!?).
More skills does not automatically make the game better. You need those skills to actually have a reason to exist.

I don't think he's talking about what you're taking about, Alaris.
