I'm planning on making a sylvari necro for my main. I kind of agree with some of the others about not feeling right playing a charr after GW1, but then I'd still want to try out all the races.
I didn't really like how they moved when I tried one during the first beta too.
Hmmm. Conflicted.
I think the objection was more about how they tried to take it back, rather than that they tried.
Being slaughtered by your opposition also wastes tons of manpower and resources. ;)

Charr appeared to move sluggish, but it's perceptual. You'll get used to it in time provided you don't constantly change character.
As for blaming the charr, if you can't blame us for trying to take back our land, or for slaughtering us at the gates, well, maybe you can blame us for nuking you. Not like you gave us much of a choice, eh?

Neither was the Searing a choice -- didn't even offer cake as an alternative. Wonder which was more destructive; Searing or the Foeire?

Foefire dooms the whole area for eternity afaik, because those ghosts are not going anywhere.
The areas affected by the Searing have pretty much healed up by now.
Thanks for pointing that out.

And rytlock seems to have q very tight grasp on that sword. I wonder if he'd let it go knowing that the ghosts would go away too.

>>...According to legend, if either Magdaer or its twin, Sohothin are returned to Ascalon City in the hands of the rightful king of Ascalon, then the ghosts will be put to rest...<<
Since Adelbern is a ghost and Rurik is dead who is the "rightful king of Ascalon"? Does this mean the sword has to be returned to Adelbern or that there is another heir to the throne that might still be alive? Also shouldn't this be the rightful human king of Ascalon, since humans took it from the charr?
Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Pfft legends.
At least we do know that the Searing wasn't permanent, all we have is hearsay as to whether the Foefire is permanent. For all we know, returning the sword might make it even worse.

We don't know the lasting effects of the searing... maybe there are increased rates of cancer in charr from hanging around those crystals...
Or maybe the searing started the chain reaction of events that caused the dragons to wake!
In short, all woes in the world can be traced to the fleabags!
