I think a lot of people rolling only humans do that because they are human-centric. I even heard one person say they don't play games where they can't play humans (or at least human-ish enough), which to me sounds silly.
I'm rolling one of each race to experience their storyline (two sylvari), otherwise I'd drop the human and make a 2nd charr instead.
Sorry, I meant in terms of the storyline. Norns were going around hunting and going into the norn's equivalent of the mists (whatever that was). Asura were all about building tech with developing a new golem technology. And so on.
What do you do as part of the human storyline in the beginning?
I do like the medieval look, I love castles.
My necro charr says... death is only the beginning.
Also, do want to make minions out of humans.

I am still undecided between Asura and Humans, i just love the illusion of speed you get while playing Asura with feet moving so fast, but i dislike that armor and weapons look so tiny on them. So maybe Human, because armor and weapons look just right on them. Originally i wanted to play a Charr, but the feel of movement is sooo damn slow, its like they are trying to walk through water. I know its technically the same, but perception plays a huge part. And Asura's running around, jumping on dodges just feel so fast and mobile.
So yeah, either Human or Asura Necro.
well our personal story starts out with being welcomed back and having a party, i was a noble so i got star treatment, not sure how it wouldve played out if i choose from the streets or the other one. its hard to remember a lot of it though. the zones were big into fighting off centaurs. pretty much centaurs are the main threat from what i saw.
I only tried the male street rat and female noble human storylines. Below are my synopsis of them:
Spoiler
As far as the general story of the human starter areas - centaurs are trying to take over the human areas, bandits are trying to make a profit in the areas, and other wildlife is stopping humans from doing what they want.
Out of the many personal storylines I got to go through or peek at, I felt the most memorable was the Blood Legion Charr that I got to play in the press beta. There's nothing like spanking a hell out of a rotten coward leader and yanking the leadership role away from him. That being said though, my main probably won't be a Charr even though I'm planning on rolling one.
Same here. Having 5 races and only experiencing 1 or 2 is a total waste of opportunity to me.
I've only had a peek of the nobility origin, and only know of the party and chaos that started during it. The streets origin I think mostly revolved around defeating criminal groups. The commoner origin also started out dealing with criminal groups, but eventually led to conflict with one of the armed factions of Kryta. The street rat and commoner had by far the most difficult splits out of the ones I went through because of the consequences that each choice had. What do you do as part of the human storyline in the beginning?

I wasn't really drawn to necromancers, and I hate the charr and want all of them dead, so I'm ok with these stats... though those little necro pets are kind of fun.
