Anyone know if we will have to do a fresh install of the game client once its released or can we use the Beta installation and it will just update as it always does?

From everything I've heard, the beta client will be the same one used for release. So just update and play.

Aye, that would also make it a little easier on Headstart players as well. They could release a "gold" client for us to download just before the headstart, but its easier on players to just have the client update itself to the release version instead.Originally Posted by nkuvu
That, and there is always the exceedingly rare chance that someone might accidentally upload a primitive alpha version of the game client for people to download, and no one catches it until the headstart access has already started! I say exceedingly rare though, because as far as my memory goes only one game has had that issue (Sword of the Stars 2). Though, I guess one could also accidentally upload the wrong patch files as well too, huh?

They already confirmed you can keep using the client. It'll be patched automatically.

I heard that if you use the same client, they run a script that automatically boot you so they can test how quickly people click the login button.

Client is the same from BWE3, just keep updating regularly so you won't have so much to download on your release day.
