Before heading into GW2, remembering GW1.

I originally started GW1 shortly after it launched. I was only playing RPGs at the time and wanted to get into MMOs but didn't wanted to play WoW because of the monthly fee. A couple of friends had started playing Guild Wars and swore by it. So, I did a trial run and within a few hours I went to the store to buy it. Hard to believe that was so long ago.

Many years later (just after Nightfall's launch), all my friends vanished from GW. So, I stopped playing Guild Wars and went to WoW. Finally came back for EotN and the rest is history. I play both WoW and GW now and a bunch of my friends from WoW are hooked on GW2 (mostly because they were sick of me talking about it all the time!).

My fondest memories are the first time I saw the Ruins of Rin and the endless Ergoz runs.
