1) How is my postcount related? So, I talk to people here...
2) Please provide me with even a single MMORPG that can compete with GW2 for the title of best MMORPG.
I'm pretty confident that will be added in. They added that to GW1 (for a fee) fairly late, but I think they will put it at higher priority for GW2... just not before adding higher-priority stuff like Guilds.

You can tell the quality of life of people by what they complain about
It's relevant because you are clearly biased toward GW. That's fine bro, I probably am too ( as are most reading this ), but to make a bold claim like that? Head on over to the fan forums for pretty much any MMO and you'll find people claiming the same. Would you believe them? If I had to name one, I guess it would be the pay to play monster that is just releasing it's next expansion ( not that I'm a fan). Depends on what metrics we're using to define "best". Popular opinion or just your own?
Peace.
We can stop the hype, the game is released. And it turned out, it's not MMO 2.0. It's MMO 1.05 and with some polishing it might turn to MMO 1.19, thats all.
Maybe it's the best MMO currently around, but in the all time hall of fame GW2 certainly is not best MMO of all times. It's not even amongst the top 3 there, sry.

I don't know what the hell you were expecting, then. Pretty sure it is the best mmo out there, but yes, its still an mmo. When people claim its not revolutionary, like you're insinuating, I wonder if they were thinking the game was going to be an entirely new genre or something. Talk about unreal expectations.
Unreal ? thats an other game, silly.
I wouldnt call it MMO 2.0 or rather MMO 1.05, if i was expecting it to define a new genre.
What was I actually expecting ? Well, at best something as revolutionary to games as GW1 was. Or at least a step forward along the path, GW1 defined. It turned out, Anet wasn't as creative. In fact, while GW2 is a little step forward compared to other MMO's ...compared to GW1, it is a step backwards to please the generic MMO crowd.
Besides, I wasn't expecting a game that misses a lot of things which are standard to MMO's in 2012. Eg a configurable interface, or DX 10. I also didn't expect a game that has 3 times as many bugs as GW1 had on release. Today, two weeks after release, several of the events on our server were stuck.
I logged out yesterday night in the middle of a stuck event. When I logged in today, the event was still stuck...
Several of the later storyline quests have scripting bugs. Everytime I hit one, I found a thread about it on guru...
Neither did I expect that entire parts of the game, like the TP wouldn't be functional on release.
Nor did I expect a game which needs many stupid and tough mobs to generate difficulty in PvE, after I played against a much better AI in GW1...
And foremost: I didn't expect to be done with the PvE part of the game that fast. Today I reached lvl 80 with my main, i'm nearly done with my storyline, 1 x crafting 400, 1 x crafting 225, + 50% map, a few twinks around lvl 15 to 30...
All that w/o the help of a guild and w/o buying gems for rl money.
Actually I bought an extra bank slot with ingame gold...
That doesn't mean I am the greatest player around... judging from what I read here and see on my server, there are many others like that. We have masses of lvl 80/lvl 400 stuff in our TP !
I am beginning to ask myself, what to play in a month or 2. I hope Anet has some dailies, collectors etc planned.
.

Well, dismiss me as a fanboy if you want to avoid a potentially meaningful conversation, not my loss. Perhaps I am a fan because I see what ANet is doing right. I wrote some frontpage articles why I thought GW2 is the best MMO around, and I have not heard of any real competition. Let's start with many of the complaints with the MMO genre have been fixed in GW2.
SWTOR is now free to play, I predicted its downfall before it released. FYI.
WoW was great when it came out. Other MMORPGs too. But I am not reminiscing here, I am comparing with MMOs currently available. That is, if I had to recommend a MMO to a friend today, it would be GW2 no questions asked. I'm not interested in pouring over MMO history books to debate this point.
Agreed. Not sure what people were expecting.
edit: @Ora:
1) Compared to GW1, it's not a step back, it's a step sideways. It's a MMO, something GW1 was not. I agree with people who prefer GW1, there are good reasons for that. I prefer GW2, but I still loved GW1 for many years.
2) Bugs and missing functions, yeah, there are a number of those. AI I think is fair, but it's often not team AI you fight against, maybe that is the problem?
