OK, now that I have been playing since beta and have created 5 chars of different races, builds and reading online other conversations, I have still much to learn and do. I have all this food buffs that my cook created. Why oh why do I keep forgetting to eat them before a battle etc. Sigh, need to develop that habit early, same thing on xp tokens
for fighting and crafting. I did read something I had no idea of, and that is when underwater, you need to reselect all of your skills again because they can be different and gives you more options. Makes it much nicer now. The other thing I have done is the first thing I do is build the weapon skills with all the different combinations early, just to have them created and available. Then try them out in low level areas to see what seems to work for me.
Charr's can't jump it seems and look really awkward doing so, so has been a challenge so far. I think I am about to break my W key from holding it down to hard at the same time as the space bar to jump futher.
OK if anyone else has any ideas and things they have learned, please share them. Oh yeah, I do not dodge near enough to get out of trouble, have even change it to the V key, but need to use it more often.
I feel like my biggest problem is avoiding melee. I just do not know how to get away from it--I kind of feel like most of the baddies are melee though.

Along with Tsu's problem is my legs grow roots during fights most of the time as I forget to run around while casting.

Now that my thief is lvl 60, I have learned to dodge and play a lot more defensively on my other alts. Thank you thief.
So while trying to complete my story on my 80 warrior, I have been in Orr quite a bit. An event happened to pop up at one of the waypoints, which then spawns a chain of events thru several waypoints. So while participating, all of a sudden about 20 people show up from nowhere to also participate. Obviously these are great for zergging and getting drops without fear of not having someone around to rez if needed. So, is there a website or something that shows when certain events are happening that everyone seems to know, or are they just seeing pings in chats??? I have seen a few chats where someone says some monster/dragon whatever is going to be 30 minutes, but not very often. Anyone know if there is any secret to this?
Which Orr zone are you in? There's a few dedicated zerging paths of note.

I ventured into one of those areas a couple of times. The first time I ended up in such a group and it was a great way to pick up high-level drops and have plenty of players around to rez you. The next time there were very few players around and it was pure misery. If there is a schedule posted somewhere it sure would be nice to know.
I'll see if I can find some reliable information.

There is a timer at Guild Wars Temple that tracks the three dragon events. It relies on user generated data, but it's usually pretty close. As far as Orr zergs, I haven't seen any particular rhyme or reason for the timing there.

While watching Monty Python & The Holy Grail, something stood out to me as a great battle plan and so now I use "Run away!" every chance I get.
The best tip True Guru gave me was to use PvP Heart of the Mist as a gateway to LA to save coins. I'd be rich if I could get all those coins back which I spent getting to Divinity's Reach.
