    The two non-Cursed Shore areas of Orr are actually the cursed zones. There is no motivation for anyone to ever play there. If you're high enough level to play in Orr, you're high enough level to play in Cursed Shore where you get the top tier crafting materials, better drops, better vendors, the dungeon, and have more players making all popular events succeed. And since all three zones are basically identical in terms of enemies and landscape...

    The only redeeming part of the two areas is the lack of players make them genuinely dangerous in certain areas. I saw someone on the official forums refer to them as a zombie movie where you're the only survivor, fighting in makeshift shelters that will only last the night.

    Yeah the zones b4 the final zone were pretty dead. And those vistas and skill points are hard to get to, specially when they were contested. And since the map lacks people they are always contested. But I got to say they reward you pretty well. I leveled from 70 to 80 very rapidly when playing there.

    Got a lvl78 exotic shield drop for me yesterday. In WvW. My first exotic drop that was not from a chest. Thankyou Mr Invader for the nice drop, shame you didn't like my flamethrower.

    I got a rare drop within 10 minutes of WvW. Pretty crazy.

    Ascended items are not quite ideal right now because they are only available via grinding Fractals. However Arenanet intends to make them available via crafting and playing WvW. Given we are currently in a weird transition stage I can understand the discontent with the system, but I would wager that a majority of the rage will subside once the ascended system is fully implemented...
