Idea: Item drops should be based on character level, not area level.

I think each time I get a good drop close to my level is when MF finally gives me something (technically junk to me). I think the drops will be low till you get lucky with RNG and MF triggers it.

When that happens, I get blues and greens to my level, otherwise it's rarely anything but. They are low level for the area, but not to my level.

I think if one would want to find stuff to salvage to their level, go to an area with that level in mind. Otherwise you'll be getting alot of high level stuff in Queens which would be a farming heaven.

Think about salavaging Orchi or Gossom stepping out of Divinity...

Glad to see that I'm not going entirely mad yet.

I got rare (yellow) light armor gloves dropped in Queensdale yesterday that were better than the level 70+ ones I was wearing. The only thing that was worse about them is they had an open slot. I got lucky in that using a Master Salvage kit on my previous soulbound gloves pulled the rune from them.

Oh and just to clarify something: I am talking about level appropriate armor and weapon drops only. The crafting material that is dropped, salvaged from salvagable items, salvaged from low level items, or harvested are appropriate to the zone.

Oh and just thought of another thing: My magic find stat is in the low range. I am guessing maybe at 10% maximum.

yeah I had a yellow mask for my thief drop from a chest, just a plain harpy chest in Queensdale.

it was miles better than my old one. Actually, I had replaced all my armor due to the new drops I was getting in Queensdale. And I'm level 61 now.
