LazyTruth is a plug-in for Chrome that automatically scans email for information that FactCheck.org and Politifact have deemed false. If something doesn't check out, it'll provide a few words of correction and a link to where you can find out more. You can then easily pass that verified information on to the email's sender.

Unfortunately, the news are biased and/or of poor quality. Factchecking offers some of the best journalism around.
I'd sign up for it, but I already signed up for Facebook factchecking articles.

Canada is not that bad either (although we'd had some problems too). I think this is more useful for the USA and potentially a good thing if it propagates to other countries that also could use some of this.
@Zalis: are you afraid of them stealing your info? A filter does not need to send your emails anywhere, just the results of its computations (which is basically a % hit for each statement).
