I think we all know by now that there are a lot of conversations taking place among NPCs, and know some by heart. So which ones are your favorites? I have way too many but some of the ones I like are:
I especially love how the charr sounds amused.Asuran kid: Your face is funny, all squished and weird.
Charr Lionguard: No your face is funny, it's like a little raisin.
Again in LA
The gate technician always says "my ears" when talked to.Norn traveler: If I track a wounded animal through a gate, would the gate's energy cauterize the wound?
Asuran gate technician: I... I haven't the faintest idea. My ears! What an intriguing question.
Norn traveler: What does your ears have to do with it?
Another one in LA
I would have really liked to hear that bad salad jokeAsura 1: What does a sylvari think about?
Asura 2: I'd say no matter what subject, they are astonished and contemplative, wondering and wild.
Asura 1: I was going to make a bad salad joke, but now I don't feel like it.
And one in Diessa Lowlands that I thought was cute
I'm guessing it's not cheezburger because there already is a cheeseburger ingame.Charr cook: Check it out! It's cheese and meat! Cheesy meat!
Charr cub: Can I has cheesy meat?
Charr cook: Hungry cub is hungry.
One in Rata Sum, when his Charr partner tells him to recruit new mist warriors
Apparently finding recruitments for mist warriors involve dancing and singing.Asura Mist Warrior: It's your turn to dance and sing. I'm exhausted.

I love that Charr vendor in LA that goes "You break it, I break you" and I also enjoy the dialogue about the outhouse, gross as it may be, it is awesome.
I don't remember it at the top of my head but a guildiee did:
person 1: Which way to the outhouse?
person 2: We don't HAVE outhouses, we have water closets
person 1: You mean a latrine?
person 2: No, they're all connected to the same sewage system, and it all floats out to sea.
person 1: That's more than I needed to know.
person 2: Hey, you asked, just don't ask if anything lives down there
person 1: You gotta be kidding!

A personal favourite will always be the couple near Hall of Legends in Hoelbrak:
"That last moot..."
"Was an accident, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to set your mother on fire."

This in LA:
Charr traveller: Can I get free life time use of these Asuran gates?
Asura: Sure, if you provide me with a life time supply of rifles.
Charr traveller: What are you going to do with so many rifles?
Asura: To protect these precious gates from freeloaders.

The cattlepult in the charr lands:

The one that I can think of (not really my favorite, but it's burned into my brain...I can't think of my favorite at the moment), is from when you are standing at the LA bank. There is a little girl and a charr playing. Most of their conversation is escaping me at the moment, but I ALWAYS catch the "Ah, GHOSTS!" "MOOOOOONSTERS" part.

There's a rather cool one at the asura gate in The Grove. Can't remember the exact wording of it, but the asura gate guard/operator is chastising his sylvari assistant for "weirding out" his golem by asking it about its parents. Makes me laugh every time, and it illustrates the cultural differences between the two races very well. Pop through the gate from LA to The Grove and stand there for a little while to catch the conversation.
