I've had some fun spotting the underlying inspiration behind 'things' in GW2. Like the place name, taken directly from the language, other elements are more subtle, but I just caught a Wired article on planned cities & this leapt out at me. It's Divinities Reach! ... Nope it's Palmanova in Italy.
Has anyone else spotted anything?

Frostgorge Sound & the Potala palace in Lhasa, Tibet.
Blood Tide Coast & scenery of Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.

Caudecus Manor & some typical old English countryside manors (picture depicts one turned into a hotel in Ashford, England)
I would not be surprised if some English community members would find one that looks pretty much the same, not just the architectural style
EotN Loading screen and pretty much every Gothic cathedral build in central Europe share elements (the one in Cologne as an example)
The wall on the Harathi Hinterlands loading screen (on the right) shares similarities with how modern dams are build and re-enforced (picture shows the Hoover dam in Nevada, USA)
Kodan places are modified versions of houses & monasteries build in e.g. Bhutan (Taktsan monastery)
