Would the guesting fiasco be 2013 or 2012? They announced it in 2013, but the foundation for it has been set way back when they decided they want separated servers and didn't care about people guesting across servers.
Another negative: the old HOM is apparently only reachable through a "magic teleport". Great way to include a rather important part of the legacy of the original game.
I like what they did with it designwise - but why does it have to be so absolutely removed from everything with no connection to anything?
Hopes for 2013:
Not sure, really. Perhaps that I find a reason to play again? I did spend quite some money on it, so it's foolish not to play. But playing for the sake of playing, instead of enjoying the game? Hm.
Ah, here's a hope: that they fix the targetting so you can actually target the guy clobbering you instead of the one standing half the map across doing nothing, but being somehow "closer" to you.
I believe that's it. I really don't know why I should continue playing.
I love the HoM. I actually hope it becomes an explorable area at some point... Not sure how they'd do it, though. Guess they could just make a /rewards UI.
It's such a sad area, but I really like it. When the game went live, after I saved all my names, I got in game and warped to HoM. While everyone was crashing and lagging in the super populated areas, I had a smooth-run in the personal HoM.
I hope they fix targeting, the camera (seriously, move that thing back), the dodge bugs, and minion AI.
