New NVIDIA driver!

So, I don't think there's a thread for this already, but I'll try to make sure to relay the info whenever I see a new driver for NVIDIA cards pop-up (as I have an NVIDIA card myself.)

Anyway!

What?! Nvidia has specific support for GW2? Yes, I run AMD in CrossFire and love it, but wow, actual GW2 support? Call me jealous.

Yeah, Nvidia is pretty cool about that, they always list the games they're improving with each driver release. This was a GW2 specific one, so I figured it was note worthy here :3

Pro-tip: For anyone with an Nvidia card that supports cuda, GW2 supports it! so run the game with the -cuda command and you'll probably gain a handful of FPS. For those who may not know, all cuda does is re-direct some of the CPU processing to the GPU, so it means more strain on your graphics card and less on your processor. It is generally good for GW2 since the game is pretty CPU thirsty. Just throwing it out there...

Color me a n00b, but where exactly do you input the -cuda command? Also, do these drivers give any noticeable performance?

I didn't notice anything particularly different with the driver, but it's generally a good idea to keep your drivers updated =]

The -cuda command goes in the same spot the -bmp command and all other GW1 commands would go in (as in, GW2 grandfathered that system from GW1) which is the shortcut.

So...
1. right click on your GW2 shortcut
2. properties
3. at the very end of the field called "Target" type -cuda
4. hit OK
5. ???
6. Profit!

if you wanted to add the -bmp command, you'd do it in the same way

For example, I run GW2 with both of those on, so my target field looks like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -cuda -bmp

You can also run GW2 with the -repair command, which will just check and fix up your .dat
It's generally a good idea to run it with the repair command every so often, if only for routine maintenance. If you run it with -repair, make sure to take it off after it's done checking, or it'll check every time you start up the game.
