Every company in every industry is like that, unfortunately. If I invent something amazing while I'm working in advertising, my company owns it. \o/

I remember trying to explain that in a thread a while back about the creator of "Ghost Rider" suing Marvel, right around the time the first film came out. Poor guy never saw a cent for anything outside of what he was paid for working on the comic- nothing for merchandising, movie rights, not even appearances in comics other than the ones he personally worked on.

Just wait until peoples' vacations photos that they posted on Instagram starts appearing in commercials for travel agencies.
