Now that Halloween passed and nothing seemed to happen what plans do you guys think A.net has in stock for Dhuum?
I myself believe that UW will be back in GW2 where it will be an endgame elite mission with Dhuum as the big boss. Hopefully it will be in style with SF or DoA where you will need to finish a few tasks. After that you will need to defeat Dhuum and put him back where he belongs.
Either that or they will conclude his fate during some event.
Regina said that the Mad King's Steward will return tomorrow, so there very well may be more quests in this chain. :)
I don't know whether we kill or just subdue Dhuum, and wouldn't mind either case. But we shall be fighting, so there is at least more to the story, even if not more quests.
My hope, is that the Mad King's Steward will be like an 8th Reaper in the Underworld, or will be part of a whole new Underworld - same locations, but different mobs and new quests. With the new Underworld having Dhuum as the main enemy to fight.
I just hope Menzies gets more lore before GW2 as well. And that the "stranger" will be flushed out as well.
"And in the final struggle to suppress Dhuum, the Heroes of Tyria had to seal him with themselves inside the Hall of Judgment once more. Their sacrifices will not be forgotten."
And then the Dragons woke up and Tyria was still screwed.

Though by re-sealing Dhuum (with whatever means), it'll just be postponing his escape. Again. It's inevitable, after all.
So unless we get some god-slaying blessings or weapons/skills, the next generation can clean up our mess. Again.
I assume that we won't actually get to kill Dhuum. We probably have to weaken him so it ends up with him being sealed inside the Hall of Judgement again.
It doesn't necessarily need to be either death or sealed back into the Hall of Judgement. It could be "weakened enough that he must retreat" or he is sealed elsewhere (outside the Underworld, for instance).
My bet, it will be that Dhuum retreats before defeat. That, or death. We'll see.
Well there is also the question if Dhuum can actually be destroyed unlike Abaddon? Grenth didn't seem able to finish him off even if he was strong enough to topple him, seal him up and take over his realm without any apparent objections from the other gods. Except Abaddon maybe, mostly because they seemed fine working together.
Actually maybe Abaddon was against Dhuum's fate and sympathised with him?
