I know you can craft fireworks by giving materials to http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nubah_Lao. However, it doesn't appear that he uses a dialog like the artisans do.
I would appreciate confirmation that I can bring a whole bunch of materials to him during Canthan New Year and get a whole bunch of fireworks in a timely manner. Can I go through the dialog over and over quickly, without rezoning?
I remember that guy, and I remember looking over what he wanted to make the fireworks with, and I was trying to figgure out the cost effectiveness of each. The sparkler was the most expensive with two rare mats, one of which costs 200 to make from crafter. Coal has allways been kind of odd. nothing really rare salvages to that easilly like silk does from webs, and trader never bought and sold them at the crafter's cost.
The popper isn't to bad if you have a lot of dust on hand, the rocket is actually fairly easy to make, as I've learned to now expert salvage all scrolls when I get them, which has lead to large amounts of paper in stock for me. And lord knows planks aren't that hard to come by.
Someone should post the lists of stuff to start searching for as well. There's a lot of things that stretch across two games. 3 of which are in ring of fire, and are a pain the posterior to acquire.
But I will say the canthan new year events are probably the most enjoyable of all events because of the cooperation and non grind quests they have. That and I love the look of shing jea and other places when they're decorated up.
First week of feburary. Decor is put up I think about 2 weeks sooner.
The last of the event series, and the one I actually am looking forward to now.

I always see Wintersday as the last of the event series and the Canthan New Year as the first
But I agree, it's always a fun one, with the collecting of stuff and making all those dishes!

I still need to max that title (fireworks = party title!) on my GWAMM. But I haven't been collecting the required items for some time. Think I was halfway the title track. Maybe I spend some materials from storage this time, don't use them for something else anyway.

I've been working on the ingredients for the last 3-4 months. We're just missing some of them for some of the events. Right now, we have enough for 6 full meals. IIRC, the event is every other hour. Tomorrow hubby and I will be going after the last few ingredients. If anyone would like some tips on farming certain items, I'd be more than willing to share

Me and a friend were discussing this last night, and I think we came up to the conclusion that the Bottle Rocket was cheapest at just 1 Parchment, 2 Wood, and 8 Dust. You can get two parchment for 140 gold if you buy the wood and go to an artisan, so now he's going all crazy and trying to collect enough to max his title, I think something like 60,000 dust. I told him there's no way he's storing that many stacks of dust, but he just won't listen >.>

What's the going rate for a party point right now? Is it really that much cheaper to craft fireworks rather than buy from another player? Just curious since I don't chase titles, so I have no idea how much they go for, player selling to player.
If you have your own dust and wood, and craft the parchment, i think it the cost for one bottle rocket is just under 90g, depending on the current trader prizes (if counting with the loss of not selling the mats to the trader).
The going rate for party points has not been under 100g (usually around 150) afaik.
Basically, if you have the mats it is cheaper to craft. If you have to buy the mats it is cheaper to buy party points from players.
